If ribs don’t fall off the bone, I wont bother eating them. I love my ribs, but they have to be done right. Slow cooking is probably the easiest and best way to make them, which can be done in a slow cooker, an oven on a low temperature, or even a grill on low. I have had ribs cooked from a lot of people and restaurants, but these are, hands down, my favorite ribs ever. Give them a try and let us know what you think.
Ingredients
- 1 Rack of Baby Back Ribs
- Dry Rub
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup of Sweet Chili Thai Sauce
- 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce (Trader Joes Original, Sweet Baby Rays Original) *I dont use any special flavored sauce since we are adding our own flavor with the sweet chili sauce
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 275
Step 2
Remove the membrane from the back side of the ribs
Step 3
Mix all dry rub ingredients in a bowl and rub all sides of the ribs with all of the dry rub.
Step 4
Line the bottom of a baking pan with tin foil and place the ribs on the pan. Bake for 1 hour uncovered. Remove from the oven and cover the rack of ribs with tin foil and continue backing for another hour. (Depending on your oven, may need 1.5 hours)
Step 5
When the ribs are 30 minutes away from being removed from the oven, preheat your grill on medium-high.
Step 6
Mix the BBQ Sauce and Sweet Chili Thai Sauce. Remove ribs from the oven. Brush the back side of the ribs with about 1/4 of the sauce and place them on the grill. Once they are on the grill, brush the top with the remaining sauce.
Step 7
Cook both sides for about 5 minutes. (Be careful not to burn the sauce)
Step 8
Remove and serve!
