Kickin’ Turkey Chili

Ingredients
- 2lbs ground turkey
- 2 (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes
- 2 (16 oz) cans pinto beans
- 2 (16 oz) cans kidney beans
- 1/4 - 1/2 large white onion chopped
- 1/4 cup Worcester sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 (12 oz) can of your favorite beer
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tblsp garlic powder or 1 clove garlic
- 1 tblsp onion powder
- 4 chopped Roma tomatoes
- 1/8 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp olive oil
Method
Step 1
Add olive oil to pan with chopped onions. Cook till onions start to turn clear. Add ground beef. Cook meat till done. Salt and pepper to taste
Step 2
While meat is cooking, mix beans, crushed tomatoes, beer, honey and all spices in a large pot and start to heat over medium heat. Once meat is cooked, add it to the pot and simmer on low for 2-3 hours allowing all spices to release favors.
Step 3
Serve with a side of corn bread and top chili with sour cream and cheese. Light or full fat, up to you.

This turned out absolutely fabulous and so easy for the kitchen challenged! I followed all the ingredients except the chili powder. I probably used about half of the 3/4 cup of chili powder and it came out perfect for my pallet. I also spread some cheddar cheese on top (shown in the picture) and accompanied some pretzel crackers for a wonderfully filling and delightfully healthy meal. Reheating leftovers gets even better!
