Margherita Pizza

This is one of the most delicious and simple pizzas to make, and is always a hit with guests. So heat up that oven, and get ready to make a pizza that will keep you coming back for more.
Ingredients
- 12 inch pizza crust - thin crust (Boboli 12-inch thin crust or Trader Joes frozen 12 inch pizza crusts are perfect)
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 3 -4 large basil leaves, cut into strips
- 2 Roma tomatoes, cut 1/4 inch thick
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
Step 2
Drizzle the olive oil and garlic over the pizza shell. Use a brush to spread it around and make sure to get the crust!
Optional: Use jarred minced garlic and spread around, about 1-2 teaspoons
Step 3
Spread the mozzarella cheese throughout the top. Add your tomatoes and basil.
Optional: Use 4 ounces of thinly sliced fresh mozzarella, instead of grated mozzarella, for an even more amazing taste
Step 4
Cook the pizza in the oven for about 9-10 minutes, or until the cheese is lightly browned to your liking.
Step 5
Add a little Parmesan cheese and (optional) crushed red pepper.
